In accordance with the Brown Act, Government Code ξ54957.4, writings relating to a Board meeting agenda item that are distributed to at least a majority of Board members less than 72 hours before a noticed meeting, and that are public records not otherwise exempt from disclosure, will be available for inspection at the District administrative offices, 14735 Juniper Street.  Such writings may also be available on the District website. a. Legal Statement     

Members of the audience who wish to address the Board are asked to complete the yellow card available at the entrance and submit it to the Board's Administrative Assistant. Speakers who have completed the card will be called when the item is reached on the agenda or, for non-agenda items, during the Public Testimony. State law prohibits the Board of Education from taking any action on or discussing items that are not on the posted agenda except to A) briefly respond to statements made or questions posed by the public in attendance; B) ask questions for clarification; C) provide a reference to a staff member or other resource for factual information in response to the inquiry; or D) ask a staff member to report back on the matter at the next meeting and/or put it on a future agenda. a. 2015-2016 Employees/Volunteer of the Year Certificates of Commendations     
  The Board of Education and Superintendent proudly recognize the following 2015-2016 Employees and Volunteer of the Year for their outstanding service to the students, staff, and families of the San Leandro Unified School District.

b. District English Language Advisory Committee (DELAC) Report to the Board of Education: English Learner Parent Needs Assessment     
  On an annual basis one of the responsibilities of the District English Language Advisory Committee (DELAC)  is to conduct a district wide, survey needs assessment, distributed by site ELACs (English Learners Advisory Committees). The purpose of this survey is to assess the needs of parents of English Learners district wide as it pertains to the delivery of  instructional programs and services to English Learners. The superintendent and board will hear a summary of the findings and identified next steps for the next academic year.
c. 2015-2016 Local Control Accountability Plan     
  Dr. Rosanna Mucetti, Deputy Superintendent of Educational Services, will present the highlights of the 2015-2016 Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) with a focus on the goals, actions and services articulated within the plan. The presentation will also include information and data regarding the progress made with the implementation of the 2014-2015 plan. Information regarding the LCAP development process will also be included in order to understand how stakeholder input played a key role in the development of this upcoming year's LCAP.

Public Hearing comments are limited to 3 minutes per speaker, subject to adjustment by the Board President.  Members of the audience who wish to address the Board regarding the Public Hearing are asked to complete the yellow card available at the entrance and submit it to the Board's Administrative Assistant. 

b. Conduct an Official and Public Hearing for the 2015-2016 Local Control Accountabilty Plan (LCAP):

a. Presentation of the 2015-2016 Adopted Budget         
  School districts are required to produce the Adopted Budget to the board for public hearing along with the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)as part of the requirements that districts are mandated to hold a public hearing of the LCAP before the official adoption of both the LCAP and the adopted budget by the Board of Education. Included in the LCAP public hearing, there is also a public hearing for the 2015-16 Budget Adoption which will be officially adopted by the Board on June 23, 2015. The Assistant Superintendent will present a draft of the 2015-16 Adopted Budget which includes fiscal years 2016-17 and 2017-18.
